9 Astounding Health Benefits When Going For Outdoor Camping!

Nowadays human beings are known as an indoor generation. Believe it or not, somehow it is true, human beings are living as the indoor generation. All of the outdoor activities have turned indoor because of advancements in technology. Gyms, swimming pools, camping, even walking have substituted our houses instead of parks. Children these days have indulged themselves with attractive gadgets and social media, at such a point that they have forgotten the value of friendship. Not only the children but their parents too have lost themselves within this electronic world. People have forgotten the benefits of fresh air and exercise and have started to kill themselves, as the environment they are living in, is extremely harmful to them. Go camping or for a walk, try to live happily with others, and not show happiness to others. Here are some health benefits regarding outdoor camping.

  • Prevention from Air Pollution

Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has stated that air pollution is the main cause of asthma and other sorts of breathing problems. According to some research, the air we breathe in our homes is five times more polluted than the air outside. When we go out for camping, the only thing we do is take deep breaths, because it feels great. The aroma or the freshness can never be neglected. Breathing in fresh air even leads to happiness.

  • Physical Exertion

Camping is not only for active people or the people who enjoy nature, but the laziest person can also gain benefits from camping. According to the National Sleep Foundation, many people’s fitness and health are affected due to lack of sleep. Youngsters and even businessmen stay up all night, either for work or are busy using electronic gadgets, this affects our sleeping patterns and may result in insomnia. If going for camping, sleeping gear is also crucial. Relax, and relieve all the stress.

  • Solitude doesn’t harm

Many of us avoid socializing with people, and always want to be alone. Solitude is very important in this modernized world to develop positive psychological patterns. If one wants some me-time, have one, take a walk or meditate. According to an article published in the journal of Environmental and Public Health, walking barefoot benefits our psychological comfort and our health too. Solo camping can act as a self-care remedy for our mind and body.

  • Involves Vitamin D

Whether one is camping near Atlanta or is in the USA, we find sunlight everywhere. However, recent studies suggest that 40% of Americans are facing vitamin D deficiency. Vitamin D is crucial for maintaining the strength of our bones and healthy cells too. Keeping aside the obvious benefits of being outdoor, sunlight helps to relieve our stress, also sharpens our visions and mind, and also acts as an antidote for the seasonal affective disorder (SAD). So stop carrying sunscreen for camping, absorb vitamin D and maintain the functioning of your body.

  • Eating Healthy

Our lives have gotten so busy that to save our time, we skip breakfasts or lunches and eat junk food to avoid hunger. According to the Stress Management Society, our physical stress is linked to diets high in carbohydrates, sugars, alcohol, etc. Having healthy meals while camping outdoor, really has a positive effect on our lifestyles. Eating fresh and nutritious food contributes to stabilizing our health and increase the level of vitamin D in our body. Youth these days intake junk food a lot, we have to stop damaging our immune system as soon as possible.

  • Fitness

American Institute of Stress has claimed that more than half of the Americans face stress, mostly related to work. Stress has become common nowadays. Physical fitness and exercise might reduce it, but we are so busy, it seems impossible for many people to take out their time for exercise. In camping, our stress already reduces by seeing nature’s beauty, but regular walks and physical exercises might fasten up the process.

  • Stop Becoming a Zombie

Through social media, we have connected to this world in such a manner that we can’t bear a second without our phones. Nomophobia has become common amongst teenagers, they just couldn’t live without their phones. If we are going camping with our mobile phones in our hands, no matter how much we exercise or walk, the harmful rays of our phone will constantly keep affecting us. Either we have to reduce the usage of phones, or we have to keep our body and our mind getting affected by the harmful rays of our phone. We can stop ourselves from suffering from nomophobia, we just have to control our desire for mobile phone. Always do remember that the mobile phone is nothing against the beauty of nature.

  • Try New Things

Even though one hasn’t camped for years and have forgotten all the camping techniques, there is nothing to worry about, all we need to do is try something new and explore new things. Children these days grasps easily how to unlock a mobile, but does not have any idea of setting up a camp, when we explore new things, we learn new things from it, and we gain experience. Now is the time we need to use our mobile phones for something good, click on the search button once, and we find millions of things related to camping.

  • Memories

Studies have suggested that the benefits of regular forest bathing are that they recharge our body and relieve our work stress. Every time we go camping, though the place would be the same, the memory we make would be different every time. Sometimes one will notice a hummingbird, or sometimes meet a friendly passerby, or sometimes experience a beautiful and glorious sunset, etc. The feeling would be different and exciting every time. The memories we make will surely stay with us forever.

Camping is the easiest and the cheapest therapist to reach while one is surrounded by stress and other kinds of problems. In need of happiness? Go camping and enjoy!
